Award-winning speaker, author, coach and consultant Brendan Hall is 1 of only 10 people in the world to lead the winning team in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race – an epic 10 month long, 40,000 mile ocean sailing race around the planet where the strongest teamwork always wins. Although Brendan was the youngest and least experienced skipper in the race, his team won it in convincing fashion. They didn’t win because Brendan was the best sailor or strategist, but because he created the most engaged and empowered on-board culture, with a compelling vision, strong values and a continuous-improvement mindset. Carlene has worked in legal tech for as long as Daft Punk have been a thing. Carlene trained as a lawyer and worked as a barrister in Auckland, New Zealand, before she was drawn to tech, and to helping lawyers navigate legal tech. In this capacity she has worked in large law firms across London and Auckland before moving into SaaS and Customer Success in 2018. Carlene joined LawVu in 2021 and is currently based in London where she leads a team of LawVu CSMs around the globe. At LawVu, Carlene has found great joy in having conversations with people who also found their passion outside private practice law firms: the in-house community.

Shaun is a seasoned legal professional with a background spanning private practice, and in-house in government and private enterprises. Alison Zoellner is the General Counsel for Dentsu Group Inc. and joined the business in 2020 as the General Counsel for the Americas region, most recently serving as Global General Counsel, dentsu international. She previously served as Vice President and General Counsel of Honeywell’s Advanced Materials business, a global business which manufactures a wide variety of high-performance products. Prior to this, Zoellner was Assistant General Counsel, Securities and Corporate Finance of Honeywell International Inc. She began her career at Sullivan & Cromwell before working for seventeen years in the legal department of The New York Times Company.

David is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law where he teaches International In-House Legal Leadership. Before joining LawVu, David spent 10 years building and leading the eBay Classifieds Group Legal Team; rising to VP, Global Head of Legal and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. eBay Classifieds Group had over $1bil revenue and operated market leading online classifieds businesses in 11+ jurisdictions globally, head-quartered in Amsterdam. David and his team of 25 professionals successfully facilitated the $9.2bil sale of the eBay Classifieds business in 2021. Before eBay, David was General Counsel of an online payments and encryption start-up in London and General Counsel of QVC UK for 5 years. David is a member of the FL, NY and CA Bar and is an English Solicitor. He also holds an LLM from the University of London in Communications and Technology Law. David is based in Los Gatos, California.

Before starting her career as in-house counsel at eBay in 2010, Christina worked in private practise for 5 years.
