What to expect

Our agenda is thoughtfully curated with inspiration, practical insights and fun provocation that can help you take your career to new heights. Our themes for the day are:

Owning your career

Be inspired to go beyond growing your career by ultimately owning it. Learn, unlearn, and level up in all ways.

Coping with increased complexity

How can you move beyond surviving in an increasingly complicated world where everything, including the kitchen sink, is thrown at you. Learn to thrive in these environments, preempt, prepare and be proactive.

Demonstrating your value

The narrative is changing, legal is no longer a cost center, and you're finally able to bring your whole self to work. How can you demonstrate your value and go beyond giving just legal advice but achieve better business outcomes together?

FEATURED SESSION:
Richard Susskind
Tomorrow's in-house lawyers

In an era of relentless cost pressures, new providers in the marketplace, and increasingly intelligent machines, what jobs will there be in the future for in-house lawyers?

Richard Susskind will answer this question by exploring the growing impact of technology on the legal world and explaining the potential and limitations of artificial intelligence for lawyers. But he will also dig deeper and discuss why lawyers (in-house and external) are needed at all and whether the demands they currently satisfy might be met in years to come in quite different ways.

The future of legal services will not simply be an automated and streamlined version of what we have today. We will instead see a transformation in the way in which disputes are resolved, guidance is secured, documents are drafted, and risks are managed.
